Adobe Flash Support on Fedora

One of the big issues many new users on Fedora have is getting flash support to watch videos on websites such as youtube.  The solution is actually very easy.  First download adobe flash support from this website.  Select the rpm package and save the file to ~/Download.  If you want to try something else besides adobe you can also play with swfdec.  Once the rpm is downloaded run this command.

[brad@localhost Download]$ sudo rpm -iv flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-release.i386.rpm

Assuming this goes correctly, and it should, if you were to restart Mozilla Firefox at this point, and try to play a few videos you would realize that there is no sound.  To get sound you need to install libflashsupport.

[brad@localhost Download]$ sudo yum -y install libflashsupport

The last step is to restart Firefox.  You should now be able to watch flash-type videos with no problem.
